Technical and Business
Bruce Macdonald (Chief Technology Officer) has a B.Sc. in Environmental Studies and is the inventor of the world’s first wearable underwater computer – called the WetPC. He is author of a number of patents to do with Chordic Graphical User Interfaces and has extensive experience in both software and hardware development. He is responsible for undertaking advanced research on KordIT, developing new solutions and innovations, as well as developing firmware and prototype circuitry.
Geoff Woodman (Principal Systems Engineer) is a highly experienced engineer with multidisciplinary skills in project management, electronics design, development and production. He has developed specialist skills in professional telecommunications and the military products and systems industries. He is responsible for managing all hardware development and production and for technical liaison with licensees, collaborators and contractors.
Will Boettcher (Systems Engineer) has a B.Sc. in Physics from the Australian National University. His responsibilities include firmware maintenance and development, website development, PCB circuit design, and the prototyping and testing of new innovations.
Marty Carr (Training Manager) commenced employment with Kord in July 2011, and is a Cavalry Officer in the Australian Army Reserves (1st/15th RNSW Lancers). He has a sound knowledge and understanding of how to train in accordance with military practices and has experience in developing training simulations based on the VBS2 platform. He is responsible for the development of our new Training and Simulation products.
Trevor Finklaire (Business Development Manager) is a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst with over 20 years of commissioned service in the British Army which culminated as Commanding Officer of a British Army Infantry Battalion. He has developed comprehensive skills and experience in growing new business in the land close combat domain having worked for over 10 years as a senior business development manager. He has developed successful strategies, capture plans and win themes for emerging and long term opportunities both in Australia and overseas. He is a Graduate in Defence Technology (Cranfield University) and a member of the Association of Project Managers.
